With the advanced mobile broadband technology, you can carry your laptops everywhere and very soon internet cafes will become obsolete places. High speed internet broadband is offered by major mobile phone service providers. You can have access to the internet within their converge area and beyond that area too, you can receive a signal, but carriers will be quite slow.
In order to check how well 3G-EvDO works with the outside world, enter into 3G-EvDo services. From 6 various large cities in different parts of the country, testers had received a data card with 3G technologies. Every tester was given instruction on how to test the data card, whereby each tester carried out tasks ranging from playing internet radios to ping tests. The testers showed positive signs when the signal was good, when otherwise hindrance and interferences occurred. On the other hand, while on the move in automobiles, the tests revealed no issues as long as they were in the coverage area.
According to the tests revealed by 3G-EvDo, service worked pretty well and though witnessed uneven performance at times; they performed as claimed by the service provider. EvDO�s performance combines access to the internet to the high-speed Internet connection. The testers found out that they couldn�t exist without it after using it for several days.
When testers took Sierra Wireless�s AirCard 860, they found it to be faster than EvDO and saw that the computers were quick to respond when browsing the web. Areas where the signals were weaker for EvDo, more improvements were noted. The antenna�s designs were one of the detected problems, which extended 3.4 inches from the AirCard. The antenna is likely to get broken as it was very flimsy and a normal antenna was recommended.
