Toshiba Qosmio G40-10S Laptop

Toshiba is now with its latest Toshiba Qosmio G40-10S Laptop with Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology. It brings before you an excellent performance and a smart look for you.

Efficiency determining factors:
Toshiba Qosmio G40-10S Laptop PC, with Core 2 Duo 2 GHz processor has Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium as Operating System.  The chipset is Intel PM965 Express and the bus speed 800 MHz. A 2MP camera is installed with the unit.

An attractive 17in display which has utilised WUXGA TFT Active Matrix technology is another peculiarity. It can have a 24-bit colour support which means 16.7 million colours can be precisely shown thus increasing the picture quality. Maximum display resolution is 1920 x 1200 pixels. NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT is the Graphics processor and has PCI Express as Graphic Bus interface. External video resolution is 2048 x 1536 pixels.

The built-in speakers give quality sound output in 24-bit stereo format. It has HD and MIDI support too. In the Kardon stereo speaker system integrated, two are bass reflex speakers, the other two are tweeter speakers, and one has subwoofer technology. The little device has a very impressive sound system with 1-bit Digital Amplifier and Dolby Home Theatre.

The memory capacity this notebook type system has 2 GB installed RAM with DDR2 SDRAM technology. 667MHz is the RAM speed. The memory is expandable. Installed Cache Memory is 2048 KB. Toshiba Qosmio G40-10S has an installed video memory of 512MB.

The hard drive has a rotation speed of 5,400 RPM. The hard drive capacity of the device is 160 GB. Storage Controller Type is Serial ATA. As optical drives there are Dual Layer DVD±RW/DVD-RAM with a Read speed of  24x for CD, 8x for DVD and 1x HD-DVD. Write speeds are 16x (CD), 1x (DVD-R), 4x (DVD+R), 4x (DVD-R), 2.4x (DVD+R DL) and 2x (DVD-R DL) whereas Rewrite speeds are 10x (CD-RW), 4x (DVD+RW), 4x (DVD-RW) and 3x (DVD-RAM).

Apart from the normal features and outstanding performance Qosmio G40-10S has a TV tuner, integrated video camera, remote control and 5-in-1 card reader. The graphic processor installed in the unit is NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with an installed video memory of 512 MB.

Data Link Protocols include Bluetooth, Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11n. International V.92 modem gives a speed of 56 Kbps for data and 14.4 Kbps for fax. It supports Gigabit Ethernet LAN with 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T speed.

The device comes installed with a Lithium Ion battery with a capacity of 7050 mAh. This new Qosmio has a dimension of W x D x H : 440 x 229.9 x 38.1 (front) / 45.3 (rear) mm and it weighs 4.4kg. It offers a warranty for 1 year.
